ERISA Claims

ERISA stands for the Employee Retirement Income Security Act of 1974 and is a U.S. federal law that establishes minimum standards for pension plans in private industry. There are many types of ERISA claims, including denial of benefit claims, breach of fiduciary duty, failure to provide information, improper amendments or terminations, and interference with benefits. In many ERISA-related cases, damages and valuation are central to the case. In such instances, it is helpful to engage an expert economist who has experience working on ERISA cases. Clients regularly turn to Econ One’s expert economists for cases involving ERISA claims.

Assessing damages in an ERISA claim case can be complex. Econ One’s economic experts can quantify damages related to denied benefits, including denied disability benefits and group health plans, mismanagement of plan assets, and other violations of ERISA. Furthermore, our experts can assist in valuing employee benefit plans and assessing plan funding. Our expert economists and consultants have the ability to analyze large amounts of data using advanced data techniques to assess the impact of ERISA claims. Our deep experience and expertise result in Econ One being a trusted partner in navigating the complexities of ERISA-related litigation.
