David Kim is a Senior Consultant with Econ One. Throughout his career, David has provided dispute resolution services for cases involving patent infringement, trademark infringement, trade secret misappropriation, false advertising, breach of contract, and breach of fiduciary duty, among others.  He has also provided financial and economic consulting for attorneys and corporate clients.

David has assisted counsel in various states of litigation including developing case strategy, preparing interrogatories and document requests, analyzing financial issues, drafting expert reports, participating in the deposition of witnesses, and creating demonstrative exhibits for trial.  He has conducted complex financial analyses involving lost sales, lost profits, incremental profits, manufacturing and marketing capacity, fixed and variable costs, product line profitability, price erosion, reasonable royalties, unjust enrichment, commercial success, and prejudgment and post-verdict interest for both plaintiffs and defendants across a broad array of industries.

He has lectured on the topic of patent infringement damages at the Loyola University Chicago School of Law, presented to the Chicago Bar Association’s Federal Practice Committee, served as a panelist at the General Counsel Forum on Litigation Finance, and participated in the National Institute for Trial Advocacy’s training for attorneys as an expert witness in a mock trial setting.
