Blankenship and Hillard, et al v. Marathon Oil Company

Dwight Steward served as the defense statistical expert in a class action racial discrimination suit. Dr. Steward analyzed the class-wide allegations of discrimination in pay and the promotion process at Marathon Oil. He also prepared a rebuttal to the plaintiff’s statistical expert in which he was able to demonstrate that the statistical models used were defective and predicted pay and promotion practices that were nonsensical and unsupported by the company’s personnel data.
