Gambrinus, Corp. v. Venezuela
In an ICSID arbitration (Gambrinus, Corp. v. Venezuela ICSID Case No. ARB/11/31), Gambrinus, Corp. claimed that the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela had nationalized Gambrinus’ interest in Fertilizantes Nitrogenados de Venezuela (“FertiNitro”), a nitrogen-based fertilizer producer.
Econ One was retained by counsel for Venezuela to provide expert analysis on quantum. An Econ One expert submitted two expert reports regarding the value of Gambrinus’ interest in FertiNitro and testified at the hearing in Paris.
