KLA-Tencor Corporation v. Tokyo Seimitsu Co., Ltd and TSK America, Inc.

Plaintiff (and counterclaim defendant), a supplier of process control and yield management solutions for the semiconductor and related microelectronics industries, alleged that defendants infringed its patented technology involving machines used for the automated inspection of semiconductor waters. Defendants filed a counterclaim which alleged attempted and actual monopolization by the plaintiff. Jeff Leitzinger provided an expert report and deposition testimony on behalf of KLA-Tencor with regard to the counterclaim. The parties subsequently settled both lawsuits prior to trial.
