OPIC Karimun Corporation v. PDVSA and CVP

In an ICC arbitration, OPIC Karimun Corporation claimed damages from the Venezuelan national oil company, PDVSA, and its wholly-owned subsidiary, CVP, related to OPIC’s interests in two association agreements for exploration and the development of an oil and gas project in the Gulf of Paria in Venezuela. Econ One was retained by counsel for PDVSA and CVP to provide expert analysis on quantum. Dr. Daniel Flores submitted three expert reports regarding the value of OPIC’s interest in one of the projects and testified at the hearing in New York.
