Augustus Urschel

Augustus Urschel is an economic expert specializing in class actions, antitrust, and consumer protection. With over a decade of experience in applied microeconomic modeling, his work has led to the certification of nine class action cases. Mr. Urschel has extensive expertise in econometrics, survey design, choice-based conjoint analysis, common impact analysis, and damages valuation.

As an expert witness, Mr. Urschel has testified in federal and state courts regarding restrictive employment covenants and false advertising. In his capacity as a case manager for other experts, Mr. Urschel has worked on matters involving algorithmic price fixing, digital platform competition, wage practices, and regulatory matters in telecommunications. His industry experience spans technology, healthcare, higher education, and agricultural supply chains.

Mr. Urschel’s research on broadband competition, sports labor markets, and regulatory policy has been published in the Review of Network Economics, the Journal of Sports Economics, and the International Journal of Communications. In 2023, the American Antitrust Institute honored him with an Antitrust Enforcement Award for his work in Cung Le et al. v. Zuffa, LLC (UFC).
