Arun Sathiya is an Economist at Econ One Research India Private Limited. He has over 12 years of experience as a consulting economist, focusing on competition economics and impact evaluation in India, USA and Europe. He has extensive experience in handling large volume of financial transaction and survey data to the tune of around 10 million transactions. He also has expertise in creating data collection instruments using visual basic application for primary surveys. Arun Sathiya has also created various enterprise resource planning tools to generate automated reports and summaries for project tracking.
Prior to joining Econ One, Mr. Sathiya worked as a Managing Economist at Nathan India. In the area of litigation economics, Arun Sathiya has substantial experience conducting econometric and statistical analysis for merger and acquisition, cartel and abuse of dominance cases. Specifically, he worked on cleaning, collating, and analyzing large datasets spanning across industries such as auto glass, cement, petroleum and natural gas, tyres, aviation, entertainment, processed foods, paper, shipping, automotive components, broadcasting etc.
Mr. Arun Sathiya was also involved in developing research methodologies, survey questionnaires, sampling design, on-field survey canvassing, and organizing surveys for several impact assessment projects. Additionally, he was responsible for cleaning, processing and analyzing the primary data.
