Ramesh Karuppusamy

Ramesh Karuppusamy is a Principal Economist at Econ One Research India Pvt. Ltd. He has 12 years of experience as a consulting economist, focusing on data analytics, litigation economics, financial sector development and impact assessment. His experience in litigation economics primarily includes merger and acquisition, cartel, wage and hour class actions, and abuse of dominance cases. He has worked on cleaning, collating, and analyzing large datasets using statistical and econometric techniques across industries such as sodium chloride, paraffin wax, car glass, cement, flat glass, healthcare, natural gas, ports, airline etc.

Prior to joining Econ One, Mr. Ramesh worked at Nathan India as a Principal Economist. During his time at Nathan, in addition to working on litigation projects, Mr. Ramesh led numerous data analytics, and impact evaluation projects ā€“ in various sectors such as agriculture, financial sector development, education, health – for clients such as World Bank, IFC, CGAP, FSDT, DFID, Mercy Corps, Mastercard Foundation, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, IDH, State and Central Government of India. Further, he has extensive experience in designing sample surveys, and statistical and econometric analysis of baseline, mid-line and end line data to measure the impact of the interventions.

Mr. Ramesh is skilled in handling statistical software such as SAS, STATA, SPSS, R (Basics) and in creating dashboards using Google Studio, VBA excel and Tableau.
